The Myth of Poor

Sometime I wonder who is poor  in this country, after this question I again wonder who needs to be called poor in this country. After doing some home work I got to know that we are following a benchmark set by Tendulkar committee way back in 2004-05 & have been modified during time to time as government desired.
We are living in a dynamic world where things are changing at a pace it hasn’t changed before. Prices of petrol ,fruits & vegetables, real estate ,gold ,tickets etc have been very dynamic in past couple of year. Now All these price changes are directly or indirectly impacting every one & since they are impacting everyone so we should have an system of measuring the degree of impact  & consequently all policy framework should be based on the same. Currently we are doing the national survey once and keep it  believing for years. As per the latest report almost 40 odd crore people in this country are poor. Please tell me how many of them are poor post latest petrol hike, how many of them are poor post latest double digit food inflation & how many of them could have been poor if railway ticket hike would not have been reversed?
Probably we don’t have very accurate answer of these questions & this is the reason that we don’t have very accurate policy framework to address this question. Hence solution lies to answer this question” Who is poor in this country??”…..

Irony of Salt

The pure white free flowing odorless substance made up of two very active elements is very inactive in nature. Yes you are right as the title says I am talking about salt. When we enjoy the delicious cuisine we hardly notice that salt is present in it. All credit goes to spices & the recipe & bla bla. Forget about giving credit to salt people doesn’t even talk about the poor substance. But what happens other way round. If salt is not present this is the first thing people notice. Nobody gives dam to spices & other things, all they need is salt & once salt is back everything becomes ok & people forget the poor salt once again

My dear friends the first half what I have mentioned above is on the lighter explanation of the very complex unwanted human behavior which I am trying to explain in simple words. In this world people often try to make their impact or their presence felt by making some very spontaneous activities whose life is very limited. In the process they often ignore very fundamental human responsibility to respect human being & the society in which they live .If your actions & thought are so reactive that they don’t recognize the others you are certainly on wrong track. Try to be as simple as possible ,be so sharp in your thoughts & actions that when you are absent nobody can live without you .If your nature is spontaneous the life would be very small, if it is cool it has the energy to absorb all unwanted hiccups & would be having a long lasting life.If you are being recognized because of the active element within you that recoganization will have short life unlikely if you are being recognized because of quality whose absence makes a great difference then your impact is everlasting. Same as which is done by salt.

My Quotes

“Small differences are visible from smaller altitude”

I have often come across many people giving many good reasons for their failure, why they were not able to achieve something in their life. You will also listen several time people saying that someone XYZ has achieve something because of XYZ reasons & I am not able to achieve because I had not those helping hands which other fellow was blessed with. People often forget to believe that these small differences should not bother you if you really want to achieve something big. For example suppose you are on the ground floor of a building which is touching the sky. Your next friend is on 5th floor & you & your friend both wants to go to the 10th floor, here your friend has clearly advantage over you. Now suppose you want to go to 20th floor ,still your friend had some edge over you ,but what about if you want to go to 100th floor ,then your friend have relatively small advantage over you ,what about if you want to go 1000th floor ,& finally what about if you want to touch sky ,hardly any difference is there between you & your friend. Hence if you aim is high, doesn’t matter where are you, your relative position in family, society, country & world doesn’t matter. That’s why I say “Small differences are visible from smaller altitude”

“Liking & disliking is function of knowledge”

If you ever get a chance to interact with a crazy scientist ask him what he like most in his life & you will get answer which will be in the domain of science & technology. Go & ask the same question with a lawyer & there are good chances that he will say some section of our constitution or any law because of its social implication etc etc.Ask the reverse question that what they dislike most again the answer will be in the domain of expertise of respective person. This is very natural & there is nothing like rocket science behind them, but it underlines the very basic principle of human nature. We tend to select & deselect something which we know are good or bad in our knowledge .We can’t select something about which we know nothing & similarly we can’t reject something without knowing that it is bad .Our area of expertise is like a restaurant which has limited number of items on its menu. A Chinese restaurant will not have Indian cuisine on its list and also Indian restaurant can’t have English food on the menu. Hence to spice up our life we need to change restaurant means in the course of time we should change our expertise & then probably we can answer the question “Whether we like Indian, Chinese or English?”
